Our commitment

California Airduct Pros is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Clean air in your home should not depend on whether you can use a mouse, see a screen clearly, or hear an audio prompt. We treat accessibility as part of doing the job properly, not as an afterthought.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the internationally recognised standard for accessible web content and are the benchmark referenced by the United States Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and by Israeli Standard IS 5568.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the content meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully conform. The known gaps are listed below, together with what we are doing about them.

Measures we have taken

• Semantic HTML structure, so that headings, lists, navigation and page landmarks are announced correctly by screen readers.
• A single, logical heading hierarchy on every page, so users can navigate by heading.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics marked so that assistive technology skips them.
• Visible labels tied programmatically to every form field, rather than placeholder text alone.
• Descriptive accessible names on links, buttons and social media icons.
• Colour combinations chosen to meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
• Full keyboard operability: every interactive element can be reached and activated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
• Layouts built with relative units that reflow without loss of content at 200% zoom and on small screens.
• Breadcrumb navigation and consistent page structure, so the site is predictable from page to page.
• A responsive design tested on desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.

Compatibility with assistive technology

This website is designed to work with current versions of the following combinations:

• NVDA and JAWS with Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows.
• VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS.
• TalkBack with Chrome on Android.
• Browser zoom and operating system text scaling.
• Speech recognition software, including Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Voice Control.

The site may not work reliably with browsers older than three major versions, or with assistive technology that is no longer supported by its vendor.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is not yet fixed than claim the site is perfect. As of the date above, we are aware of the following:

• Third-party content. Embedded content from Google Maps and social media platforms is controlled by those providers, and we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If you cannot use an embedded map, call us and we will give you directions or service-area details directly.
• Older article images. A small number of images in older articles may have alternative text that is less descriptive than we would like. We are reviewing and rewriting these.
• Decorative motion. Some sections use subtle reveal animations as you scroll. We are extending support for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system so that these are suppressed automatically.
• PDF documents. Any PDF we send you, such as an invoice or a service report, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the same information in an accessible format at no charge.

If you cannot use part of this site

You do not have to use this website to do business with us. Every service we offer online can be arranged by telephone, and we will read out, explain or send in another format anything published here.

Our response commitment. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 3 business days and to respond substantively within 10 business days. Where a fix will take longer, we will tell you our plan and give you an alternative way to get what you need in the meantime.

Legal framework

We take our obligations under the following seriously:

• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III — which requires places of public accommodation to provide full and equal enjoyment of their goods and services.
• California Unruh Civil Rights Act, Civil Code section 51, and the California Disabled Persons Act, Civil Code section 54.1.
• Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and California Government Code section 11135, where we provide services in connection with a public entity.
• Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998 (Israel), the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which adopts WCAG 2.0 Level AA, where those apply to us.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate. In the United States you may contact the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, or the California Civil Rights Department. In Israel you may contact the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice. We would prefer to resolve the matter with you directly first, and we will engage in good faith.

This statement reflects a self-assessment of the website carried out by California Airduct Pros, based on a review of page structure, keyboard operability, colour contrast, form labelling and assistive technology behaviour. It was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of this page. We review accessibility whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at least once a year.
